Bulgarian Monarchy - Before, Now, Forever

Bulgaria is the country with the oldest-traced state continuity under the same name in Eastern Europe, second in the whole continent only to France - a statehood, which used to unite modern Bulgarians' ancestors long before they became a homogeneous ethnic group with a South Slavic language and Orthodox Christian faith. Bulgarian monarchy has always been the cornerstone of this statehood. From the glorious rulers of Medieval Bulgaria, many of whom have deservedly risen to the status of national heroes, to the monarchy of the Third Bulgarian State which transformed the land from a province of a backward oriental tyranny into a modern European country and led it through the difficulties of the turbulent 20th century. The purpose of this project is the defense and popularization among the Bulgarian and international public of the idea of monarchy in general and the restoration of the royal house of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in Bulgaria in particular, considering both the objective advantages of a monarchical system of government and monarchy being an essential part of Bulgarian national identity.
